The $50,000 award is granted to Washington University-affiliated ventures that are high impact, scalable and sustainable. 

Now in its sixth year, the 2019 Suren G. Dutia & Jas K. Grewal Global Impact Award is a business plan competition open to Washington University ventures using technology to solve real-world problems. Provided by and named for Washington University alumnus Suren G. Dutia and his wife Jas K. Grewal, the award is intended to inspire the interdisciplinary expansion of entrepreneurship and innovation at Washington University in St. Louis.

To be eligible the team must include one or more of the following: WashU undergrad, graduate or professional student, resident, postdoctoral researcher, or alumnus who has graduated within ten years.

Five to seven selected finalists will be connected to expert mentors and receive networking support in their relevant fields. After 6 months of preparation, the finalists will present to an esteemed panel of judges who will select one or more winners for the $50,000 award. 

Applications close at midnight CDT, Monday, October 28th.
