This month’s virtual edition of Washington includes an in-depth look at Washington University’s Office of Technology Management, and how it helps catapult new discoveries and ideas, getting them ready for the marketplace.

Several Washington University innovators were featured, including Jon Silva, associate professor of biomedical engineering at the McKelvey School of Engineering and Jennifer Silva, associate professor of pediatrics at the School of Medicine. The couple founded the startup SentiAR, which uses a high-tech method to help doctors better visualize patients’ hearts. The article followed their entrepreneurial journey, and examined how the university supported their innovation along the way.
