Social Entrepreneurship and Innovation Community kicks off the new academic year

The SEIC supports emerging entrepreneurs with visions for solving social issues in the St. Louis region.

On September 15, Washington University’s Social Entrepreneurship and Innovation Community will host its 2017 Kick-Off. During the event, to be held from 4-6pm at the Paraquad: Health and Wellness Center at 5200 Berthold Ave., the community will recognize last year’s SEIC award recipients, present a vision for the SEIC moving forward and launch the 2017-2018 cohort.

The SEIC supports emerging entrepreneurs with visions for solving social issues in the St. Louis region and is now accepting applications for its 2017-2018 cohort. Up until a final deadline of September 22, any individual or agency with either the seed of an idea or a full-blown product can apply to be part of the cohort. As part of an SEIC cohort, individuals and organizations receive intensive, structured support for one year, including workshops, coaching, connection to community networks, and other valuable resources.
