Two years ago, Johnna Beckham was traveling in China as an executive MBA student at Washington University.

There, she and fellow students were measured for custom suits. It sparked an “aha” moment: In the U.S., men could easily buy custom-tailored suits and dress shirts, but no such service existed for women. The idea spurred her to start her own business: Johnna Marie, a company that makes custom-tailored women’s suits, skirts and dresses for the workplace.
