The $50,000 award is granted to Washington University-affiliated ventures that are catalysts for social change.
Provided by and named for Washington University alumnus Suren G. Dutia and his wife Jas K. Grewal, the Global Impact Award is a business plan competition open to ventures with WashU DNA. The award was created to support the vision and passion of Washington University in St. Louis students, postdoctoral researchers, and recent alumni who are creating ventures that are scalable, sustainable, and quick-to-market, with proof of concept and a broad impact.
The program is open to ventures with at least one team member who is either a current WashU student, resident, postdoctoral researcher, or WashU alumnus/alumna who graduated within the last ten years.
