A welcome message from Dedric Carter

Friends,

Here at Washington University, we are proud to be an enthusiastic supporter of innovation and entrepreneurship throughout the St. Louis region. In addition to nurturing ideas and talent in this space, we also are always looking for ways to highlight the outstanding work that is regularly springing from our community.

With this in mind, this month we are launching a campaign to shine a spotlight on and celebrate a particular group of innovators and entrepreneurs – the women who have created products, launched companies and otherwise brought their ideas to life through their affiliation with Washington University. We’re calling it WIN – WashU Women Innovate – and through November and beyond, we’ll be sharing inspirational stories to showcase the talent and creative energy of some of our most innovative faculty, students and alumnae entrepreneurs. I hope you’ll join us on WashU Fuse for these special features.

If you’re inspired to share some or all of what you see, please consider using a #WashUFuse hashtag on social media. We’d also love to have you join us on Twitter at @WashUFuse.

My thanks to you for being a part of our innovation and entrepreneurship community. Together, we are making St. Louis a national destination for creators and creativity and the best is yet to come.

Best regards,

Dedric A. Carter
