APR 25 – From Dorm room to Boardroom: A fireside Q&A with David Ulevitch

David Ulevitch, LA’04 is the SVP and General Manager for Cisco’s Security Business. He will host a small group to discuss his career path and share advice with students. A free lunch will be provided. The moderator for the event is Anne Marie Knott, the Robert and Barbara Frick Professor of Business, Olin Business School.

APR 25 – 1 Million Cups

1 Million Cups is a free, weekly national program designed to educate, engage, and connect entrepreneurs. Developed by the Kauffman Foundation, 1MC is based on the notion that entrepreneurs discover solutions and network over a million cups of coffee. Entrepreneurs speak each Wed. and it is open for all to come and listen.

APR 26 – Venture Cafe’s Thursday Gathering

The Venture Café Gathering is hosted every Thursday. The event has an open format to get people connected. There are several educational breakout sessions throughout the evening.

APR 28 – Freelance Boot Camp – Presented by the Skandalaris Center

A free interactive workshop for anyone interested in freelancing. Learn how to get started in freelance, attract your first clients, and maintain your client base. The boot camp consists of 3 interactive sessions in one day:

  1. Branding: What Do You Have to Offer?
  2. Marketing: How to Reach Your Ideal Client
  3. Q&A: Local Freelancers Share All

Open to: all WashU students, alumni, faculty, and staff. Lunch will be provided.
