August 6-12 – Square One Boot Camp Applications Open
CET’s flagship program for entrepreneurs, Square One (SQ1), is a hands-on training program designed to provide support to early-stage and first-time business owners in the St. Louis region actively engaged in the development of a bioscience, information technology or advanced manufacturing/consumer product enterprise. Applications for the sponsored Boot Camp will be open until August 15.
The StartLouis vision as an ESO (Entrepreneur Support Organization) is to be a starting point for entrepreneurs and startups in the greater St. Louis area. This meetup offers an opportunity to network with others in the startup community and gain access to valuable resources.

The Nine Network’s latest documentary, Smart People. Cool Places. The Story of Cortex tells the compelling story of an innovation hub in St. Louis attracting national attention and promising to take the region’s economy in a new, positive direction. The Cortex Innovation Community was designed from the ground up to encourage entrepreneurial startups in bioscience, medicine and technology. The Story of Cortex is told by the people who are part of both its history and evolving future. The event is free, but registration is required. Please bring chairs, as the screening will be held outdoors.

August 9 – 1 Million Cups
1 Million Cups is a free, weekly national program designed to educate, engage, and connect entrepreneurs. Developed by the Kauffman Foundation, 1MC is based on the notion that entrepreneurs discover solutions and network over a million cups of coffee.

August 10 – Venture Cafe Gathering
The weekly gathering of innovators and startups. A place for serendipitous collisions to occur. Each week there are roundtable discussions, information tables, office hours with thought leaders, and guest speakers relevant to the ecosystem.
